Calvert Catholic Schools High Reviews

Ive never really known what to think about the style in which the children learn. I feel as though the environment itself is not what every one brags it up to be. Supposedly it is such an amazing place yet all i find is seperation, and the reason is because of the way the kids were raised, what sports they play and how much money their parents have.

It is a Catholic school. CHS is an awesome school, I should know, I walked the halls for four years. I am who I am today because of my Catholic education. The teachers are wonderful and they truely care about the students. Calvert will always be a part of me. Go Blue!

Being a former student of Calvert High School I find it gave me the ground work for my life. It definetely gave me the base to judge right and wrong. I met the best people ever in classmates and staff. I was well prepared for college and raising a family. Thank you Calvert.

That negative comment really irritates me. If you don't want your child to learn about the catholic faith don't send them to a catholic school! I'm looking at this little rating for parent involvement and couldn't help but laugh a little. Have you ever been to a Calvert basketball game? It's impossible to not get involved. The parents are loud the students are screaming, the entire place is going wild! Once a seneca always a seneca! I know parents that are still involved with school events that have grown children now. Safety and discipline, another fun rating. Calvert's doors all lock except for 1 after a certain time. The one door that doesn't lock is in site of the office. Discipline is strict simply because CHS expects their students to be the best they can be! I love Calvert GOOOO BLUE!

As a former student of CHS I'm discusted with the 1st comment. I feel personally insulted. When you go to Calvert it's not just going to school. They don't call it 'The Calvert Family' for nothing. I still go back to Calvert to visit whenever I'm in town. CHS is a part of who I am and has formed me into the person that I am today. It's given me strong morals, a love for athletics and a support network in which I can always rely. The music teacher is so enthusiastic, coaches are encouraging and most importantly the teaching staff CHS has now is by far the best in the area. I have learned to much from them and carry on with me the love for the Senecas!

The first poster obviously never went through this school system. The teachers care about nothing more than their favorite students and/or athletes. The administration serves as a local police force searching out possible delinquents rather than concerning themselves with improving the student experience. The religion classes are Catholicism or nothing; no alternative religions or concept are taught or even welcomed. Education is passed by in favor of indoctrination; god forbid you think on your own or encourage self-learning. The general theme to decide whether or not this school is worthy of your overpriced tuition is to look at the enrollment figures. They are declining for a reason.

This is one of the best schools out there today. They have a true appreciation for the values of life and a real interest in the kids that go there. It's an awesome environment for anyone to spend their high school years in!
