Bowsher High School Reviews

From a student s perspective (Class of 09), I believe that Bowsher is an average school academically. While it is one of the better schools in TPS, Bowsher is lacking in comparison to area schools such as Sylvania, etc. Although Bowsher offers many honors classes, the number of AP classes offered is far less. The greater part of Bowsher's student body is multi-talented and friendly, but the lesser part is somewhat void of inspiration to achieve the best that they can. On the good side, Bowsher's teachers are some of the most amiable teachers that I have ever met. Art, history, and five foreign languages are some of Bowsher's stronger suites while science and lunch are some of its weaker. I feel that Bowsher needs to drastically advance to give students a better education and course in life. Hopefully, the newly completed Bowsher will pave the way for the necessary improvements.

Bowsher is an excellent school with many hard working and caring students, faculty and involved parents. Bowsher graduates are awarded many college scholarships and its academics are comparable to the Catholic high schools. It is a great educational option that lets yours children attend school in the neighborhood and lets your savings go toward college. Take a look at what the school has to offer and you will be impressed.

Outstanding example of what a high school must strive for in the present and future. A talented, driven, and diverse student body gives the opportunity to deal with the issues that individuals will encounter in adulthood, along with the tools to not only make it in society, but thrive as leaders. Class offerings are top-notch, with one of the best foreign language departments in northwestern ohio. The only weakness academically is the need for even more advanced placement, honors, and college course offerings, but they continue to strive for excellence. The safety and discipline of the school is remarkably solid, as Mr. Rupp and Officer Caroll create a calm, consistent atmosphere that creates a sense of pride. Moving to a brand new building in 2008, My wife and I have had one graduate go through and three more coming! Get a school newspaper and its perfect!

My son graduated from Bowsher and thoroughly enjoyed his experience. He has fond memories of his teachers, administrators, and fellow students. The Bowsher academic program prepared him well to enter Johns Hopkins University and move on to a professional career.

I have two currently in Bowsher, Bowsher is an excellent public school. My graduating senior came last year and loved it immediately! which made my sophomore want to transfer in. The counselors encourage the students to pursue higher education and the educators prepare the students. They have PSO and AP classes, a very good choir and good sports. The principal has a good repore with the parents as well as with the students. I love the PTO! I am a very involved parent and there are many, many dedicated PTO parents whose children are either still in school or graduated 1 to 6 years ago. Negative behaviors are not tolerated and it there is a strict discipline code, but it is a positive and exciting learning atmosphere.

I have had three children total who have attended or are attending Bowsher High School. My oldest, a boy, graduated 2006. I currently have 2 daughters ages 14 and 15 enrolled at Bowsher. We have consistently had problems with bullies from Bowsher High School over a period of 5 years. They are always racially motivated. I have, yet again, another call into the school for a meeting with a teacher, principal and counselor for yet another racially motivated incident. I am sick and tired of Bowsher High School.

Bowsher is an excellent high school with many hard working students, dedicated teachers and helpful support staff. Many challenging honors and AP courses are offered and my children were well prepared for college. The student body is caring, diverse and talented.

This school is very good the kids are calm and the teachers are very nice. They help and are willing to go the extra mile. Event though it is not to good in sports it is highest in education in toledo.
